The Chairman of Ondo State Universal Basic Education , Princess Oladunni Odu has affirmed that Ondo State Government will continue to develop and maintain primary school Education in order to make it a legacy.
Speaking at a get together party organised for her for dedication and commitment towards Education and to other people by the the Praying partners and California alliance at the Heritage Continental Resort and Hotel in Ijapo, Ondo State she said Primary Education is the foundation of all formal education and the State Government is poised towards getting it right in order to make it a legacy,
She explained that despite the fact she grew up in a rural area she still had access to qualified teachers who gave her quality education which has helped her to attain the height she has attained today. As a result of that she vowed not to deny Ondo State pupils the quality Education that they deserve
She warned that Ondo State will not in any way patronise unprofessional and unqualified teachers who may lower the standard of education that the state government has been building.
She enjoined all stakeholders in the educational sector to partner with the government in order to give Primary School Education in OndoState all it takes to function efficiently.
Earlier the Commissioner for Education, Mr Femi Agagu described Princess OladunniOdu as a round peg in a round hole who is capable of handling the board and taking it to the highest height adding that she is hardworking, detailed and efficient, He urged her not to relent in her effort.
Also eulogising the Chairman, the consultant of the board, Mrs Moji Ajayi said the antecedents of the Chairman speaks volume about her hardworking and goal getting nature especially in the area of Education. She affirmed that since Princess Odu assumed office as the chairman, she has brought in monumental changes in the administration of the board saying that all they have not been unable to achieve in six years, have been achieved in just three weeks of her assumption of office as the Chairman.
She called for prayers for her from all quarters for a successful tenure.
