The Chairman of APC, Ondo State chapter, Engr Ade Adetimehin has assured the people of Ondo state that the economic situation of the state would experience a meteoric change, saying the various Memoranda of Understanding being signed by the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in his drive to attract investments to the state would soon begin to yield positive results.
He stated this while receiving some members of Alliance for Democracy, who defected to APC on Wednesday at the party secretariat in Akure.
Adetimehin noted that the agricultural initiatives being pursued by the administration would mop up the unemployment market tremendously as various youths have keyed into the programmes.
The defectors were led by Hon. Oyebo Aladetan, who was the former deputy majority leader of Ondo State House of Assembly.
The APC chairman welcomed them into the party and implored them to start participating in the party’s activities in their various wards.
Aladetan in his speech appreciated the APC chairman for welcoming them to the party, promising that they would play their own part in the upcoming elections so as to move the State to its promised land.
The party membership cards were immediately issued to the defectors by the party chairman.
Among other chieftains of AD that defected are Hon. Olujimi Adekale (JAF), Hon. Felix Adeuga, Hon (Mrs) Holo Bosede, Hon Tomoloju Ajinde, Hon Adegboruwa Taiwo and others.
Aladetan also assured Engr. Adetimehin that they would abide by the rules and regulations of the party.
