Klickconnect networks holds one year Thanksgiving

As Klickconnect Network, the champion of Wewood Afforestation Limited in Ondo state celebrates one year of achievements with a thanksgiving service, the Chief of Staff to the governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale has commended the effort of the Network in turning around the revenue generation of the state.

Speaking at the thanksgiving and Carol service organised by the Network held at Strong Tower hall Ijapo estate, Ale noted that most of the things government thought are impossible in terms of agriculture has been brought alive through the Network by partnering with the state government to bring investors.

His words : ” I want to thank God in the life of Chief Alex Ajipe, the CEO of Klickconnect Network, he is a young enterprising man who believes in hardwork, a man flowing in ideas who can turn things around, he has been in partnership with the state government in turning the revenue generation around, I thank God I came across him, never know such an enterprising young man is somewhere around the state here, until I came across him.

“For example investment in the area of forest regeneration in the state is second to none, he has other ideas which will become fruitful in the matter of time, if we can get about five young enterprising young men like him in the state we will not be where we are today, we look forward for more robust relationship between him and the state government”.

The Chief Executive officer of the Network, Chief Alex Ajipe, the Obadamisoro of Emure-Ile Owo, explained that the essence of the thanksgiving which is the first edition is in fulfilment of his promise to God.

According to him, WEWOOD AFFORESTATION has cleared 10,000 hectares of land and has planted 250 hectares of Gmelina Arborea tree assuring that come March 2018 the whole hectares will be used for cassava and groundnut plantation as another cassava investor will be on ground for that course.

“The Wewood Afforestation limited by the grace of God is clearing, 10,000 hectares of land has been allocated to them, all their machines as far as manufacturing is concerned have been installed, only on the plantation and by today they have planted over 250 hectares of Gmelina Arborea, by March we want to be undergoing the entire 10,000 hectares with cassava and groundnut oil.

“We have brought in another investor that is already investing in to cassava mill, whatever is harvested from that plantation will be taking into the cassava mill and in turn will generate lots of employment for our people and money to the government in terms of tax”, he said.

The CEO of Klickconnect who is also the Irawo Ola of Yoruba land, a traditional title bestowed on him by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, stated that Wewood Afforestation Limited is not here to take over the responsibility of the state Ministry of Natural Resources but rather to help government block loopholes,and to advise government on generating revenue through forest resources in accordance to international standards.

His words : ” We are the consultant on the ministry of natural resources, our schedule is well defined, to monitor revenue, to block loopholes and to also advise government via the ministry on what is obtainable at international standards as far as forestry business is concerned,and to make sure they loose nothing as far as revenue generation is concerned in the ministry.

“We also mobilise buyers across the globe to bring their attention on the type of forest wood they can get in Ondo state via the ministry, there’s no way contractions of any kind with the ministry of natural resources.

“When it comes to overall revenue generation in Ondo state , we still have a lot to do,forestry is able to employ all the unemployed, to generate adequate revenue so that Ondo state will not depend on federal allocation.

The State commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr Saka Yusuf described the KlickConnect CEO as a good ambassador of the state and an embodiment of self reliance.

“He is a good ambassador, he has taught the youths how they can be creative and contribute to the development of the State.

“They don’t need to depend on white collar job, we are proud of him because he has done much in bringing investors to the State, taking the youths out of the street by providing employment he has contributed his quota to the development of the State”. He said
