Oba Aladelusi charges IPAK on community development

The Deji of Akure Kingdom,  Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun 11, has charged the newly inaugurated executive members of the Indigenous People of Akure Kingdom (IPAK) to be more committed to the peace and progress of the ancient city.

He gave the charge at the official inauguration of the new executives and unveiling ceremony at his palace, saying the bold step taken by the platform in uplifting the kingdom to an enviable height is worthy of note.

The first class monarch was pleased with the platform for the various steps taken so far in contributing their quota to both the indigenes and non indigenes of the three local governments that comprise Akure Kingdom.

Representing the monarch, the Chief of Staff to the Deji, Prince Toyin Aladetoyinbo, expressed optimum confidence in the leadership and capability of the group, saying their giant strides is for the good of the entire kingdom.

Prince Aladetoyinbo reiterated the palace resolve to support wholeheartedly the aspirations of the group because they have distinguished themselves among their equals.

He pledged on behalf of the monarch to always play a fatherly role and assured them to assist in their grey areas.

Delivering his speech, the Coordinator of  the platform, Prince Adetoro Aderemi appreciated the magnanimity of the monarch for accepting them and their vision.

Prince Aderemi highlighted several steps the platform had taken to the monarch which prompted the monarch to key into their mission statement.

The coordinator said the motive of the platform is not for political gain, but to contribute their own quota to the development of Akure Kingdom as a whole.

He said the platform is United Nations and World Bank accredited and is poised to meet directly with the  people at the grassroots.

Prince Adetoro rolled out the platform’s mission statement to the people of Akure which includes: promoting the cultural heritage of Akure Kingdom, fostering of unity among indigenous and Non-indigenous, bringing development and direct investment to the kingdom, reviving agriculture and forestry activities as a tool for economic development among youths in the ancient city, opening the door of the kingdom’s traditional sports and games to the rest of the world and creating the awareness on climate change and solutions to the people.

He urged all and sundry to key into the vision of the platform so that they can benefit from the numerous benefits of the platform.

The key principal officers of the platform are, Prince Adetoro Aderemi as the Coordinator, assisted by Prince Adeoye Rotimi and Prince Sylvester Kole Aladetoyinbo.
