The wife of Ondo State Governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has maintained that adequate nutritional education for women remains the only solution to promote healthy growth in our society.

She made this known during the last meeting of Forum for Wives of Ondo State Officials (FOWOSO) held at Government House.

“Women should be better educated on how to  serve their families meals that have nutritional value in order to create a happy society”

The First Lady added that nutritional education should also be extended to secondary school girls especially those at the grassroots for them to understand nutritional value of fruits and vegetables.

She stressed the importance of teaching teenage girls sex education for them to know their worth in the society.

Arabinrin Akeredolu who encouraged women to get involved in politics as a way of advocating the cause of other women enjoined wives of the Local Government  Chairmen to always keep other women in their localities abreast of happenings in their communities and also to be a good example to them.

In her contribution, the Caretaker Chairman, Okitipupa Local Government, Hon Morenike Alaka urged everyone present to contribute to the development of the society because government cannot do it all alone.

“Since charity begins at home, I want everyone here to think of what they can do to contribute meaningfully to the society development because we cannot be depending on the government to bear every burden in the society,” she said.
