You may be daydreaming, but the perfect gym is a dream that can come true in your own home. There is no reason that you cannot make a home gym part of your reality.

But experts advised that you should get a gym instructor in your private gym for adequate performance.

Every individual should have a private gym of their own rather than going to a public place, but the fact still remains that, you get bored in your private gym and mostly abandon it after sometime.

Imagine a gym you can commute to in seconds. It’s open 24-hours, so you can come exercise at will. It is comfortable, and you feel completely at ease when you work out there. The most interesting part is that membership is free.

Wellness & Fitness spoke with Miss Juliet Ajayi, who is  a private gym instructor she said, “a home gym adds convenience and privacy to your workouts. When you exercise at home, you save time, money, and the rush hour headaches in most gyms is totally out of it. Because most of the time you see client taking turns in using the gym, and they end up thinking of getting their own in no time.

“Although you might be cautious due to budget and space limitations in your house, building a home gym is not as impractical as you might think. It is very possible, even most people end up building their own gym material. But getting an instructor is a perfect thing to do in such situation.

“If you ever want to get your own gym, remember, you want to build a gym based on your own personal needs and fitness level. As you progress, you can add on equipment, so do not feel that you need to buy everything at once.

Your gym can be as simple or complex as you want, it all depend on you.

Who is Adebayo? suggested that having a good set of dumbbells could also help you start a strength training routine. He said”there are two basic options when it comes to dumbbells. You can buy single sets based on the weight you want to lift. These are often metal, but can also be covered with a rubber material to keep them from slipping out of your hands.

 The second option is to buy an adjustable dumbbell set. This includes two handles or bars for you to grip, as well as plates of varying weights that can be attached. It depends on how many plates you can get.

 “An exercise ball is one thing you really need in a typical gym, no matter how big or small it is. These are extremely versatile, and it is for core workouts. You can sit, lie, and balance on them during almost any exercise, rather than investing in an exercise bench.

“It help all ages to stabilise your core muscles and improves your balance and coordination.The balls come in different sizes based on your height and weight and in different colours.

“In every gym we must make good use of an exercise mat. All you need is to place an exercise mat on the floor to stretch comfortably, to cushion your body during floor exercises  and help you to modify pushups perfectly, and prevent any slipping situation while lifting weights.

“A few basic pieces of equipment are all you need. You don’t need 5 different weight machines to have a great gym, although if your budget and house allows it, consider yourself blessed. Keeping just the basics on hand will help make healthy lifestyle goals much more attainable.

“Make sure you have enough space for your gym. Choose a room with a high ceiling so you won’t hit your hands while working out, and a sturdy, clean floor to prevent slipping. Finally, add some good lighting, ventilation possibly with a fan, and music for your favorite tunes, and you can create a gym that you can really enjoy.
