Nigerians have been advised to invest in the education of their children since it is the only legacy to give to the younger generation.
The Head Teacher of Arisoyin Community Primary School, Oke- Aro Tuntun, Akure, Mrs. Roda Balogun, who made the appeal at the launching of the School Magazine yesterday in Akure, the Ondo State capital, identified education as the best legacy parents should give to their children.
Balogun maintained that parents should stop spending on material things and they should rather support their children’s education.
The launching of the Arisoyin Community Primary School Magazine is the first of its kind since the inception of the school.
According to her, “there is no way a country can progress without training the mental faculty of our children because that will build the abilities and God giving talents.”
The Head Teacher observed that education was essential for national development and remained the best legacy any parent gives their children.
She however charged the students, “believe in yourselves, work hard, pray and God will bless your endeavours.”
Mrs. Balogun therefore called on the all stakeholders to play their roles effectively in order to raise the quality of education in Nigeria.
