The people of Afin Akoko in Akoko Northwest Local government area of Ondo State have lauded the nomination of one of their own, Alhaji Rasheed Badmus as a Commissioner designate by the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, (SAN).
They described the nomination of Alhaji Badmus as a rare privilege coming to Afin in the new political dispensation in the sunshine state.
They therefore called members of the community to join hands with the state government led by Governor Akeredolu to bring back the lost glories of the town.
Speaking on the nomination of the Afin Akoko born APC stalwart, a front line community leader in Afin, Alhaji Ibrahim Kilani described the nomination of Alhaji Badmus as a good development to the people of the town and Akoko Northwest generally.
Alhaji Kilani who called on the people of Afin to pray for the commissioner nominee asked them to give him their total and unflinching support to enable him succeed in the new endeavour.
Similarly an Afin indigene, Mr Ayebogan Ayodele while commending the nomination called on government to remember Afin in the developmental programme of the state.
Ayebogan want government to fix all the roads in Akoko Northwest especially that of Okeagbe to Afin which has completely collapsed.
On his own, Oluwafemi Timothy Abegunde while congratulating the nominee advised him to always live up to the people and government’s expectations as a means of giving his best in the service to the people.
Mr Olanrewaju Adegboyega however advised the Commissioner nominee to stay clear of any action capable of tarnishing his reputation and the good deeds Afin people are known for.
Adegboyega however prayed for good health, peace of mind and the wisdom with which to carry out the assignment for the commissioner nominee.
