A domestic disagreement over the right to use a clothes line in their compound has resulted in the death of a woman in Ilutitun-Osooro in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to information available to The Hope, the disagreement led to a scuffle between Mrs. Omolere Iwajomo and a young lady identified as Morayo leading to the lady reportedly severely biting Iwajomo during the scuffle.
The incident according to a source occurred around 7pm on Sunday along Market Road in the town.
A Physiology student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State and second child of the deceased, Olajimi Iwajomo said there was a scuffle between his mother and Morayo over a dress removed from the line resulting into teeth bite on Omolere which eventually led to her death.
“As it was about to rain around 5pm earlier that evening, I went to remove my clothes from the line, but discovered that Morayo’s clothes too were there.
“As a good neighbour, I equally removed her own since she was not around at the time. I thereafter went out and later received a distress call from my mother and I returned home.
“I got home to discover that both my mother and Morayo were sprawling on the ground, but paid attention to the latter who appeared to be in a worse situation.
“Until we got to the hospital before teeth bite was fund on mama who had remained unconscious since the incident happened.
“Eventually, she died around 6pm in the hospital at Okitipupa on Monday evening,” Olujimi narrated.
